This is a side project. A friend asked me to recall as many lyrics as I can to this song. We can’t remember who wrote it. Either Robert or Dave’s brother.
It’s called Shower Up and goes a little something like this.
verse 1:
I told myself this morning that last night just never was
My shirt is covered in dirt and my tongue is covered in fuzz
Surely she should understand just why I stay in bed
But Shirley had to work today to keep her family fed
chorus:
I feel so much older; should be over this by now
But night will fall and it will call me back to it somehow
And I’ll shower up and do it all again
I’ll shower up and do it all againverse 2:
Them cigarettes are tasty when you smoke em by the pack
But what I wouldn’t give if I could have last night back
I know that I will pay some day for all the things I’ve done
Last night I made an ass of myself
But goddamn I had some fun!
chorus:
I feel so much older; should be over this by now
But night will fall and it will call me back to it somehow
And I’ll shower up and do it all again
I’ll shower up and do it all again
I’ll shower up and do it all
Shower up and do it all
Shower up and do it all again.
Or something like that…
We used to listed to a guy named Jim Kennedy sing this in Minnesota. I thought he wrote it. I may still have a tape of this laying around.

He may have. If you find the tape, I’d love to here it if you can mp3-isize it and upload.
